These Winged-Eyeliner Hacks Will Make Application A Breeze

There are many make-up looks that are timeless classics. This includes the iconic red lip or smoky eye. Another one that remains popular to this day is winged eyeliner. While getting it right can create the perfect alluring look, the problem is getting it right! Winged liner, or cat eyes, is notoriously difficult to achieve, especially on both eyelids!

Work that winged liner

Are you someone who struggles to do winged eyeliner? You’re not alone. The fact that you need to keep a steady hand and apply your product identically on both eyes makes it even more of a challenge.

Fortunately, there are some genius hacks that will help nail this popular look for look-at-me eyes each and every time.

HACK #1 / Support your elbows

The problem most people have when they are trying to apply winged eyeliner is that their hands are unsteady. Prevent this by sitting by a surface where you can support your elbows. This will eliminate a lot of the shaking.

HACK #2 / Use tape

A trick that has stood the test of time, using Sellotape works like a charm! Stick a piece just below the area where you will draw the wing of your liner, from the bottom corner out. This helps you create a neat line.

HACK #3 / Reverse it

If you are struggling to line your upper lids, there is another option that will give the same effect. Draw a line along your bottom lash line and, when you reach the outer corners, keep extending your liner upwards. Voilà!

HACK #4 / Clean your lines

So you made a bit of a mess and the lines are a little uneven… No problem! Dip a cotton earbud into some make-up remover or micellar water and carefully clean up the area once you have finished applying it.

Practice makes perfect! Get the products you need online or at your nearest Edgars store.
