Five New Scents We Have On Our Radar

If new fragrance launches excite you as much as they do us, then you’re in good company. Fresh scents are constantly hitting the market, and while it’s great to have options, sometimes the range of choices can be quite overwhelming if you don’t know what you’re after. We’ve narrowed it down to our top five scents this month – they’re all swoonworthy and gorgeous. Let’s get into it!

Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Rose Elixir Eau De Parfum

The notes: Blackcurrant, mandarin, lychee, rose, peach blossom, vanilla bourbon and patchouli.

What does it smell like? From first glance at the glittery pink bottle, you can imagine how this scent smells from first spritz. It’s fun yet sensual and eau-so flirty with an opening of fresh, fruity top notes, combined with two delicate florals – rose and peach blossom – in the heart of the scent. Once settled, you’ll experience the vanilla bourbon and patchouli base that sits on the skin for hours.

Narciso Rodriguez For Her Musc Eau De Parfum

The notes: White flowers, jasmine, pink pepper, musk, damask rose, orange blossom, tonka bean, patchouli and cedarwood.

What does it smell like? This white floral musk is the newest addition to the Narciso Rodriguez family and might be the most exciting launch yet. The scent was designed to become a ‘second skin’ once you apply it to your pulse points, enveloping you in warmth and comfort with each intoxicating note. If you’re a fan of the range, this is a must-have for your collection. Try layering the different Narciso Rodriguez scents to create your own bespoke fragrance.

Jo Malone London Passiflora Cologne

The notes: Cardamom, honeysuckle, passionflower, vanilla, tonka bean, amber, patchouli and vetiver.

What does it smell like? Before we talk about the scent, let’s take a moment for the bottle. The white and gold colour combination is such a refreshing take on the regular black and cream bottles that we know and love. As for the scent, you’ll notice an instant green, spicy freshness through the cardamom top note, followed by a warm, floral heart of passionflower (passiflora). In true Jo Malone London fashion, we’re treated to a sensational base note combination headed up by tonka bean. A winner!

Lancôme Idole Now Eau De Parfum

The notes: Upcycled rose, Malaysian orchid accord and repurposed biotech vanillin.

What does it smell like? Don’t let the note line-up confuse you. This newbie from Lancôme contains scientifically derived ingredients to make up the bold, beautiful scent, and is encouraging sustainable perfume creation worldwide. The EDP opens with a gorgeous, rosy floral note (upcycled rose) and moves into another floral – this one creamier and spicier – Malaysian orchid accord that’s been safely extracted. Madagascar vanilla bourbon infused with repurposed natural vanillin gives us the signature gourmand bottom note found in many Lancôme scents.
