Each year, the prestigious Met Gala is held on the first Monday in May at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in New York City. Always a glamorous affair, this year’s theme was to pay tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld. The former creative director of the fashion house Chanel was known for transforming the brand into the major player it is today.
The theme meant that attendants were bringing a lot of glamour – both vintage and modern – to the red carpet. Here are six celebrities who 100% nailed the brief.
1. Rihanna
Wherever she goes, this singer and business mogul turns heads. For the 2023 Met Gala, she wore a pair of sunglasses with faux lashes attached to them. Underneath was a light, angelic eye look with white shadow and fluttery lashes. This was finished off with a timeless red lip

Cara’s hair was probably the most talked-about part of her look. It was transformed into an ice-blue short shaggy cut. This tied in with her eye make-up, which was also in dark shades of blue, and made her blue eyes really stand out beneath her bold natural brows.
