Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique Pride Campaign Is A Celebration Of Love, Equality, And Sexuality

For decades, Jean Paul Gaultier’s brand ethos has advocated for equality, self-expression, and self-acceptance, and this is evident in the designer’s non-conformist garments and diverse runway muses of all genders, complexions, and sizes. This Pride Month, the brand is paying homage to the LGBTQIA+ community with a Pride edition of their iconic Classique scent. Introducing the Classique Pride Eau De Toilette – a gorgeous, gender-neutral cologne designed for everyone!

The inspo

The scent unifies Gaultier’s “cult Classique and Le Male bottles, [turning] their chrome busts into a single Jean Paul Gaultier manifesto” – two torsos that bear the same scent and message of inclusivity and harmony. Each sale of the unisex scent will support the LGBTQIA+ community through several partner charities, such as Le Refuge and AKT, two foundations that provide safe homes for LGBT+ youth, and COGAM, who offer incredible educational, counselling, and socialisation resources.

The notes

Classique Pride is a floral-woody-musk dream with yuzu and blood orange at the top for a citrusy opening, neroli and orange blossom at the heart for softness and an airy body, with white wood and musk at the base for a sensual and powdery dry-down. Overall, it’s the perfect mesh of fresh and warm accords – think summertime in a bottle!
