You might be dedicated to your skincare routine, but do you pay as much attention to the skin that *isn’t* on your face? Body care is just as important but is something many of us neglect.
Make this summer the season of change and start taking care of your body’s largest organ as you should be. Here’s how to level-up your body care game.
1. Prep your bath
If you decide on a bath (good choice!), adding something to the water can elevate the experience. A fragrant bath oil will add some scent without stripping your skin. You can even put a few drops of essential oils in the water to uplift or calm your senses.
2. Exfoliate your skin
An important part of body care is regular exfoliation. This removes dead skin cells, prevents blocked pores and ingrown hairs and keeps your skin smooth. You can use a loofah or you can invest in a body scrub to use a few times a week.

3. Apply body lotion
When you emerge from your bath or shower, apply a nourishing lotion or body butter or oil. This helps to lock in moisture to keep your skin healthy and prevent dryness. Apply oil to damp skin so that it absorbs more effectively.
4. Remember your hands…
Our hands work hard for us and the constant use, as well as frequent washing, can take its toll. Keep a hand cream in your bag, reapplying it every time you wash your hands, before you go to bed and any time they need a moisture boost.
5. … and your feet!
Do your feet occasionally become dry and cracked? Not a sandal-friendly look! Prevent this by regularly exfoliating them with a pumice stone while you’re bathing. Afterwards, apply a rich balm or cream to keep them moisturised and soft.
